With effect from 1st April 2017 the rates for the National Minimum Wage will be:

  • £7.05 per hour for employees aged 21 - 24;
  • £5.60 per hour for 18-20 year olds; and
  • £4.05 per hour for 16-17 year olds; and
  • apprentices aged below 19 or aged over 19 but in the first year of their apprenticeship £3.50 an hour

National Living Wage

From April 2017, the national living wage will be £7.50 an hour for workers aged 25 and older.
