Many employers are concerned as to whether they have the correct documentation in place for their staff. Normally even if the documentation isn’t entirely correct it doesn’t matter, however sometimes it does! A failure to provide a written statement of terms of employment is not only a breach of the Employment Rights Act, but it can also leave an employer in difficulty should they have a dispute with an employee.
