With effect from 6th April 2017 the maximum amount of a week's pay that shoud be taken into account for calculating statutory redundancy pay will be £489 per week. At the same time the maximum amount of compensation for unfair dismissal will increase to £80,541, although in many cases claimants will be limited by the alterntive cap of a maximum of a year's pay.
